MOWING/GRADING

MOWING
The Mississippi Levee Board is responsible for all maintenance of grass on the levee structure. The majority of grass maintenance is performed by maintenance contractors (see "Maintenance Contracts"). The Levee Board maintains grass in areas not under contract including the city fronts of Greenville and Rosedale.

GRADING
The gravel road on top of the levee is NOT a Public Road - it is a maintenance road to be used by the Mississippi Levee Board to fulfill their constitutional responsibility for levee maintenance and flood fighting/inspection purposes. Reversionary land owners can also use the maintenance road for access to their property.
