GRAVEL CONTRACTS
Routinely,
the Corps of Engineers is appropriated between $100,000 and
$200,000 a year for maintenance gravel to be added to the
maintenance road on top of the levee. The Corps contracts
with gravel suppliers to bring the gravel to the levee where
Mississippi Levee Board personnel spread the gravel for the
road surface.
