INTERIOR STREAM MAINTENANCE
The
Mississippi Levee Board is charged with minor maintenance
responsibilities of 350 miles of Interior Streams within its'
Levee District. The Levee Board personnel routinely utilize
their equipment to spray aquatic herbicides on the vegetation
within the channel banks. Sometimes drift accumulates and
dams up an interior stream. Levee Board personnel manually
clear off channel banks and remove these dams utilizing their
equipment.
